New Sisters In a New Country!

This January marked the exciting launch of a three-year women’s leadership training in Eastern Uganda, a powerful collaboration between Rise Up and Equip and Send Ministries (EASM). Forty incredible women gathered to kick off this transformative initiative, embarking on a journey of faith, learning, and leadership!

Leading the workshop were Pastor Corinne Gunter (Founder of Rise Up), Reverend Liberty Muhereza (Co-Founder of EASM), and Pastor Benon Bisamunyu (Co-Founder of EASM). Together, we dove deep into the Bible—exploring the grand narrative of God’s story, learning how to study and interpret His Word, and taking a closer look at the foundational first five books of Scripture, the Pentateuch.

The energy in the room was contagious! These women came eager to learn, fully engaged, and passionate about growing in their faith.

This workshop wasn’t just about laying the groundwork for what’s ahead—it was about building something lasting. We arrived as strangers, left as friends, and by the end of these three years, we will be like sisters!
