Community Transformation Through Economic Development

In January, the Regional Women’s Leadership Training Initiatives (WLTIs) gathered in their respective regions for their 4th module on Community Transformation Through Economic Development. This workshop provided practical insights into finances, budgeting, planning, agricultural practices, and creating successful businesses.

Listen as Corinne Gunter, our Founder, shares more about this workshop and why it is so important in these communities.

Two of our field partners from ALARM-Rwanda, Noheli (Community Transformation Coordinator) and Michelle (local agronomist and expert), facilitated one of the days as they guided the women through business financial tools and agribusiness tips.

At the end of the week, one of the participants stood up and said, “this training has helped me know how to break out of the cycle of poverty!”

The WLTI is a holistic initiative that fosters sustainable and meaningful development at both individual and societal levels.
