Investing In Local Leaders

Meet Francoise.

Mother of 5, wife, community organizer, church leader, children & family advocate, trusted neighbor, 2018 WLTI (Women’s Leadership Training Initiative) graduate. She went on to be trained and became a TOT (Trainer of Trainer) in 2019. Francoise was named the TOT team leader for the Northern Province of Rwanda. Her enthusiasm and exemplary leadership was instrumental in launching the very first Regional WLTI led by a group of Rwandan TOTs!

Meet the Team.

Alongside her team, Francoise identified and invited 50 rural church and community leaders from throughout the Northern Province to participate in the 3-year WLTI.

50 female leaders all showed up eager to learn and connect with other leaders..

Meet the WLTI Participants.

The first week of January 2022, the Northern TOT Team launched the first Regional WLTI 3-year leadership development program! This program is facilitated by the Trainers of Trainers and is implemented in partnership between Rise Up and ALARM Rwanda.

This work is critical because often, leaders (especially women) living and serving in remote areas do not have access to training.

50 female leaders gathered to participate in the first session, Meeting God in the Bible.

The TOT team shared the responsibility of hosting the training and facilitating the various topics. As these trainers walked through the Bible and how to find God within the pages, they shared their experiences, wisdom, and encouraged the group to actively participate in the discussion as they went deeper into reading, teaching, and applying scripture to everyday life.

TOT Team in Action.

This regional WLTI was a HUGE success and as we read reports and hear testimonies from those who attended, it is even more evident how powerful and impactful it is to invest in the lives of women.

We are celebrating this incredible milestone and outstanding leadership of the Trainers of Trainers. Their leadership and dedication to equipping and empowering others is a reminder of why Rise Up Woman exists.

See the Impact.
