More Piglets = More Lives Changed

We’ve recently welcomed a new litter of piglets into the Burera community! These adorable arrivals not only bring joy and excitement but also are a significant milestone in our efforts to empower and uplift local communities.

The addition of these new piglets means more opportunities for growth and sustainability, as each pig represents a source of income and stability for vulnerable families. From providing nutritious food to generating income through the sale of piglets, the impact of our Pig Project continues to ripple outward, touching the lives of more community members than ever before.

But the impact doesn't stop there. With each new litter of piglets, we are also fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and self-reliance among community members, empowering them to take charge of their own economic destinies and break the cycle of poverty.

One of the Burera community members recently sold one of her pigs and was able to send her child to school. When she shared this update she said, “-I- was able to send my child to school!” This project is financially enhancing the lives of those most vulnerable AND is promoting dignity.
