Discipling Women Leaders in Kajiado West

In April 2025, Elyon, our Kenyan field partner, hosted a two-day discipleship and leadership training for Maasai women church leaders in Kajiado West. Despite long travel distances and heavy rains, 28 women attended, eager to deepen their understanding of the Bible and grow in their role as spiritual leaders.

Under the theme “Sweeter than Honey” (Psalm 19), the women explored how to study Scripture, shared insights from John 3, and learned about women’s unique calling in ministry. Many attendees, some with little literacy, courageously stepped up to read, memorize verses, and discuss God’s word with new confidence.

One woman, Hannah, memorized and joyfully recited Psalm 91:1. Others, like Mary, expressed hunger for more teaching: “We are rich in the Lord. Come again—this room will be full of women.”

The next training will continue in June, focusing on spiritual transformation and storytelling through Scripture. As this journey continues, we remain committed to equipping and empowering women to lead with boldness, faith, and grace—generation to generation.
