Building Peace, One Conversation at a Time

In the vibrant communities of Rubavu and Musanze, a quiet but powerful transformation is taking place—one rooted in dialogue, empathy, and community trust.

Thanks to training provided through our mediation sensitization efforts, local leaders are stepping up as peacebuilders in their neighborhoods. At regular community gatherings, they’re not just sharing updates on development plans—they're creating safe spaces for open dialogue and conflict resolution.

In March 2025 alone, these grassroots leaders reached 537 people in Rubavu—including 337 single mothers who left school early—and 386 individuals in Musanze. By weaving mediation awareness into everyday conversations, they’re helping neighbors find common ground, resolve disputes peacefully, and strengthen the social fabric of their communities.

It’s a reminder that real change doesn’t always start with big speeches—it often begins with a conversation.
