A Refresher Course

In March, the Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) gathered in Kigali for a refresher course.

Jama Davis, Ph.D., a Rise Up Board Member, professor, and licensed mental health counselor, returned to Rwanda to facilitate a training refresher course. Jama was one of the leading facilitators of training for the TOTs between 2015-2019.

A special thank you goes out to Dr. Davis’ colleague, Whitni Buckles, Ph.D., who joined her in reviewing the material.

The refresher course included 2 1/2 days of reviewing the content, discussing effective teaching techniques, and encouraging one another for the upcoming trauma awareness and recovery conference scheduled for the Regional WLTIs in July.

It was so good for Eastern and Northern TOT teams to come together to share ideas, insights, and personal testimonies.
